The "Friends of Wakering Common" is a registered charity (number 1174836) and its aims and objectives are;
"to promote for the benefit of the public the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment and the peaceful enjoyment of the Great Wakering Common (and area surrounding the Common)"
